This or that – Which mascara is best for me?

This or that – Which mascara is best for me?

Few things are worse than spending a lot of valuable sleep time on your makeup in the morning – and one of those things that are, in fact, worse is spending that time only to have your makeup last less time than it took you to apply. That is why we have tried and reviewed three different mascara options today, each aimed at long wear.

1. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($25 – Linked Here at Sephora)

This mascara has for a long time been touted as one of the industries best options for defined, voluminous and dark lashes. We tested it out – and we totally agree. This mascara gets increasingly darker as you apply it, meaning one coat looks drastically different than three coats – which saves you from having to buy multiple different types of mascara.

2. COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume Mascara ($7 – Linked Here at Target)

The first thing we noticed about this mascara was the price point – which is about the price of an average latte. The second thing we noticed was the color variety. This comes in black, brown, very black, and black-brown. Given that all eyelashes aren’t made the same, it makes sense that mascaras shouldn’t be either. This goes onto your lashes and doesn’t clump, stays on all day, giving you a voluminous and clean lash look.

3. L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Primer and Mascara Duo ($10 – Linked Here at Walmart)

While we don’t normally love the idea of adding more products to our routine – eyelash primer is, without a doubt, a game changer as far as daily mascara upkeep goes. First you use the primer and after it dries you follow up with the mascara. What this does, unlike each of the other products, is gives the lashes more to grab onto creating the look of even fuller, longer and darker lashes than nature gave you. It is lash extensions, without the upkeep. Out of every mascara we tried, this kept its fresh look for the longest without wear.

Ultimately each of these products is going to make you happy. If you want the super thick adjustable coverage, too faced is the way to go. If you want affordable, simple and consistent, then Covergirl LashBlast is for you. If you don’t mind the extra step and want the most dramatic results, without a doubt give the primer and mascara duo from L’Oreal a try.
